What We Did Differently:
RECOM worked with Northern Care Alliance to developed specifications for
fire doors which met the requirements of the end-user. This included hold
open door closers in high traffic areas, specific locking and master suiting and
bespoke identification tags.

Due to the scale of the hospital and basement, it was important any issues
outside of our scope of works were highlighted so not to compromise the
services we were undertaking. We engaged regularly with Northern Care
Alliance to make them aware of any issues which were noticed when carrying
out our scope of works.

Throughout project delivery, RECOM maintained constant communication
with the Trusts Estates Team and Northern Care Alliance to ensure they were
well informed on the position of the works.

We liaised closely to understand the daily operations of the facility and plan site activities around their
requirements to ensure minimal disruption, multiple contractors such as pipe lagging specialists, asbestos removal contractors and the Trusts electrical team were also undertaking projects at
the hospital. We engaged with these contractors to coordinate our services
and ensure all works could be delivered concurrently
